The race date has been set for Sunday, April 28, 2013 with events starting at 6:30 am  There will be a 5K race and a 1 Mile Keiki Fun Run/Walk.  All participants will receive a Honolulu 5K finisher’s medal.

Start
Start time for the 5K race is at 6:30 am and the 1 Mile Keiki run/walk will start at approximately 6:45 am, as soon as the start line is cleared of the 5K participants.

Start Line for the 5K  will be located on S. Beretania St. right in front of our State Capitol building and the 1Mile fun run/walk starts on S. King St. at the Alapai St. intersection.

Finish
The finish line for both the 5K and 1 Mile Keiki run/walk will be located on S. King St. in front of the municipal building.

Post Race
Post race refreshments will be located inside the civic center grounds.
Have your school tent set up on the Civic Center grounds for your post race party!  Contact us at info@honolulu5k.org for information and to reserve a spot.

Awards ceremony will be held on the lawn fronting the Sky Gate sculpture.

Packet pickup locations

Packet pickup for schools only:
Thursday, April 25th    3:00pm – 6:00pm   Sports Authority – Ward Center
Race packets will be available for pick up only for the schools that email their rosters to our office by 3:00pm on Wednesday April 24th.

Send your school rosters to info@honolulu5k.org.  If you do not receive a confirmation email from our office please call us at (808) 271-4057 or your school’s race packets will not be available for pick up.

Regular packet pickup for both the 5K and 1 Mile Keiki race will be held as follows:
Friday, April 26th       12:00pm – 6:00pm       Sports Authority – Waikele Shopping Center
Saturday, April 27th       10:00am – 5:00pm       Sports Authority – Ward Gateway Center

Pets & Strollers
Pets are not allowed on the 5K and 1 Mile courses.  Strollers are allowed only on the 1 Mile run/walk course.

Parking
Parking is available at the Civic Center municipal parking garage on S. Beretania St. or on the streets of Downtown Honolulu.  It’s a sunday so there will be ample street parking!

Neighbor island schools can participate, too!
Schools on the neighbor islands can also benefit from this event by encouraging the students and/or their families to donate and designate the school of their choice.  By doing so, that school will be added to the list of schools statewide that will benefit from the funds that will be distributed.  You do not need to physically participate in the event in order for your school to receive a share of the proceeds.  100% of all donations will be returned to the school designated on the donation or entry form.
